_{You don't HAVE to read this before adopting, if you're worried someone will adopt before you. But I'd appreciate you reading it after adopting.}
Info on the Species-
* Kolshen are an Original Species from my planet, Grenpodal. (if the name is similar to an existing species by someone else, inform me. Of course, I've had these lil guys for awhile now, but never got a chance to color them in for ya~)
* They are slight Omnivores-They mostly eat plants and insects, but will kill a smaller animal as a gift before choosing their mate (it's like giving a ring before asking to marry)
* They are NOT an outspoken species when out in the open (hunt in prairies), but are rather vocal when 'alone' (within the colony/burrows/home) and make small 'Auk-Auk' and Chattering sounds, as well as some other vocalizations to communicate (they make priiiip~ sounds when happy)
* The females are more vibrant and unnatural in fur pattern (the more vibrant, the more quickly they'll gain a mate), while males are generally more naturely- and mutely-colored.
_{.....* Although there have been a few rare cases of some Kolshen showing the fur colors of both females and males. Take for example the Male in the bottom right of the sheet-He has a main fur layer of greys and whites, yet the patterns are similar to that of a female. In this case, generally, a female with refuse him as a mate, while another male is bound to find him attractive enough to call him his mate, yet they will (obviously) never bear children.
.....* When it comes to females with Male-coloring, on the other hand, they will find it difficult to attract a male mate, and will generally seek out a male with female coloring, and forcibly choose him instead.}
*Kolshen are very loyal creatures and will shower their mate with gifts. Females (or in some cases-Males with Female patterns) are given 'gifts' of bits of string, or thin grasses, and a multitude of 'pretty' knick-knacks tied to them as a sign of their mates love. Sadly, the Male generally ties all these gifts to the 'ears' of the female, and there are many cases in which the male, very literally, loves the female to death as the ears begin to weigh so much from everything and eventually break their neck.
._{....* This takes quite a long time though, as the ears are very strong themselves, and can even be used in an emergency situation to help propel the Kolshen forward by thrusting them backwards while hopping, allowing them to jump a longer distance.}

'Ears' are actually bone and thin cartilage, and can be moved in any direction (can sit up, etc.) but rest loosely against head when not forcibly held in another position. They can be vary in length compared to what is shown. They are not only used to hear, but can also be used to pick up minute movements in the air and ground, and help to collect scents (so they can tell if there's prey or predators near them) and direct them to the nose. When foraging plants, they rest on all fours, but stand up to walk around if communicating or doing other tasks, like cleaning themselves. Their front paws are fairly useful and can be used to pick things up and handle them. They are not the best swimmers, and ears can be used to stay afloat by paddling.

I'm okay, as long as I have knowledge of it. I'd love to see what you guys do!
And Ears of the Kolshen CAN be altered-They don't have to all stay the same. It was just easier for the first batch to make them all similar.
